The problem: sender faster than receiver
A 10 Gbps server can send data far faster than a mobile device can process it. Without control, the receiver's buffer overflows and drops packets — forcing retransmissions, wasting bandwidth.
TCP flow control solves this: the receiver tells the sender exactly how much buffer space is available, and the sender respects it.
