Roaming: moving between access points

Enterprise Wi-Fi covers large areas with many APs sharing the same SSID. As you walk, your device needs to hand off from one AP to another — seamlessly, without dropping your VoIP call or SSH session.

The challenge: standard 802.11 roaming requires a full re-authentication, taking 300–500ms — enough to break real-time traffic.
